Garage Door Before & After in West Lake Hills, TX
We’re not big on talking about ourselves. We’d rather show you what a stuck, noisy, or worn-out garage door looks like once we’ve finished with it. These are real jobs we’ve handled in West Lake Hills and the surrounding hill country, with the problems we found and how we solved them. If your door looks anything like the “before,” the “after” is one phone call away.

Rotted Wood Panel Replacement on Terrace Mountain
The bottom two panels on this 16-foot Clopay carriage door had soaked up years of runoff from the limestone slope above the driveway. The homeowner in West Lake Hills could push a pencil straight through the veneer. We ordered matching recessed-panel inserts from Clopay’s reserve collection, swapped the rotted sections, and sealed the new wood with a penetrating oil finish rated for Texas humidity. Door’s solid now. No more soft spots.
Wayne Dalton TorqueMaster Conversion on Cuernavaca Drive
Wayne Dalton’s TorqueMaster system keeps springs inside a steel tube, which looks tidy until it fails. This West Lake Hills homeowner heard a loud pop and couldn’t lift the door manually. We don’t recommend DIY on any spring system, but these enclosed units are especially unforgiving. We pulled the whole TorqueMaster assembly, installed a standard torsion setup with oil-tempered springs, and added a bearing plate for smoother operation. Now there’s a visible spring we can inspect, adjust, or replace in twenty minutes instead of two hours.
Fire-Damaged Track Realignment on Camp Craft Road
A small brush fire got close enough to warp the vertical track on this detached garage. The door still moved, but it shuddered and caught at knee height. We measured the deflection, cut out the heat-bowed sections, and installed heavy-duty 14-gauge galvanized track with new jamb brackets. Realigned the door in the opening and reset the opener force limits. Opens straight and quiet now, even when the summer sun hits that west-facing steel.
LiftMaster Belt Drive Upgrade on Redbud Trail
The old chain drive on this West Lake Hills home dated back to the nineties. It woke up the household every time someone came home past ten. We pulled the noisy unit, reinforced the header bracket into the ceiling joist, and hung a LiftMaster 84501 with a steel-reinforced belt. Added a battery backup so the door works when ERCOT has another rough August. The homeowner says they don’t even check who’s arriving anymore, the thing’s that quiet.
Amarr Classica Dent Repair and Section Swap on Bee Cave Parkway
Teenager backed into the middle panel. The Amarr Classica embossing pattern meant a generic replacement wouldn’t match the shadow lines. We sourced the exact 21-inch embossed section from Amarr’s Dallas distribution center, transferred the existing hardware and struts, and color-matched the sandstone finish to the undamaged panels. From the street, you can’t tell which section was swapped. The dad still made the kid pay for it, but that’s not our department.
Emergency Cable Replacement on Eanes Creek Circle
Call came in at 6:47 on a Tuesday evening. Door was crooked in the opening, and the homeowner could see frayed cables hanging loose on one side. We don’t recommend touching a door in this condition, the spring tension’s still live even if the cables have let go. Our technician arrived within the hour, secured the door with locking pliers, replaced both 7×19 galvanized cables, and re-tensioned the torsion springs. Door was level and running true before dinner. That’s the kind of call we built this company for.
