A Craftsman weather seal replacement is not dangerous work, but it is tedious work done wrong. The door must be fully open and clamped. The old seal pulls out through one end of the retainer, which often means removing a bottom fixture or bending a retainer end tab that was never meant to be bent twice. The new seal must feed evenly without twisting, or it will bunch and leak within weeks.

What you can safely check: close the door on a piece of paper. If it pulls out easily, the seal has lost compression. Look at the seal ends, where the retainer meets the door track, for gaps or tears.
